Thank you so much for your kind comments. We did have a pleasant flight back to Scotland and, to our relief, the weather has been almost as warm as it was in Prague!
We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to your beautiful city and we will most certainly be returning, probably next year all being well. We will not be looking to stay elsewhere as we enjoyed the Golden Well so much. The friendliness of your staff, the food, cleanliness & comfort all contributed to making our stay memorable.

“BEST Views in Prague”

The Terasa restaurant at the Golden Well Hotel offers up some of the BEST views in Prague, tucked away on the hillside below the Castle. The food is absolutely mouth-watering and beautifully imaginative, the staff are attentive, friendly and not at all over-fussy and there’s an excellent wine list. So all-in-all an awesome experience. The outdoor terrace is great for the summer and for sunny colder days they have heaters and blankets. For truly chilly winter days, there’s a covered area on the deck below, which still has fabulous views. A little hard to find the first time around (all part of the charisma of the overall ‘experience’) … and never forgotten. If you only have one day in Prague, you should visit for lunch or dinner!

My husband and I are now back in South Africa and I write to advise you that I have submitted our review on TripAdvisor. Thank you to Chef Pavel Sapik and the professional serving staff of the 27 July dinner service for an excellent evening of gastronomic food paired with both Czech and International wines.
I will be submitting a restaurant review to our newspapers and should they publish the review I will email it to you.
South Africa has an Embassy in Prague headed up by Her Excellency Mrs Botha. I will contact the Embassy and ask them to arrange a wine tasting of South African wines so that all at Terasa u Zlate Studne can enjoy the fruit of our vines.

“Don’t miss this place”
My husband and I visited Prague in October 2010 and had lunch here. We visited again in April 2011 and had lunch here again, with some friends. This is a place not to be missed. On a nice day, there is nothing better than sitting on this terrace and look out on all the roofs in Prague. The veiw is just fantastic. The service is faultless, the food is lovely. They have a special lunch menu with light dishes at reasonable prices. They also have a more ambitious menu for evening dining, I’d surely love to come back sometime and try that. This is the perfect place to stop if you are walking up (or down) to see Prague castle. The elevator will take you up to the restaurant, and a flight of stairs up to the terrace. From there, they have a back door leading to the path to the castle – nearly at the top

My wife and I just spent 6 wonderful nights at U Zlate Studne! We were visiting our daughter who is studying abroad. On our first evening she joined us for a wonderful meal at Terasa u Zlate Studne. First, the view of Prague is magnificent! This was only intensified by outstanding service and impeccably prepared food! Our meal was sublime. We felt compelled to have our final dinner in Prague at the Terasa. Again-it was magical I would highly recommend this wonderful hotel and restaurant to anyone seeking a truly memorable experience.

On behalf of my lead team, I wanted to thank you again for a most memorable evening at your lovely restaurant! We had a wonderful time (although we left a bit too early for my taste, but I have to give people credit because they spend two days in a row in meetings, and have e-mails and phone calls – and sleep! – to catch up on).
Anyway, the service and the food were outstanding, so we wish you all the best for your hotel and restaurant in the future. I am sure some of us will come back to Prague on a private trip.

s radostí vyplním hodnocení. Když Vám řeknu, že jsem nešla ani ráno v hotelu Ibis na snídani, jen proto, že jsem si nechtěla pokazit doznívající zážitek z večeře, tak mi to snad ani nebudete věřit.
Prostředí, jídlo, víno, servis, vše bylo naprosto perfektní. Od našich kolegů i zahraničních hostů mám jen a jen kladné hodnocení.

Terasa U Zlaté studně – recenze
Úchvatný výhled na Prahu a její perlu, Malou Stranu, Vám spolu s vybranou kuchyní připraví nezapomenutelný zážitek naplněný silnými prožitky a emocemi. Navíc v interiéru, který je zajímavou kombinací moderního designu a renesančních prvků, a v domě prostoupeném geniem loci: traduje se, že jeho majitelem byl hvězdář Tycho de Brahe, jemuž se zde zjevila Panna Maria. Slavný hvězdář poté nechal zhotovit nové roubení studny a některé části pozlatit.
Po obědě si můžete dopřát stylovou procházku (v otevíracích hodinách) zahradami Pražského hradu ve stopách císaře Rudolfa II., jemuž dnešní přímý vstup do zahrad z terasy restaurace kdysi sloužil jako jeho osobní vchod.

Based on all the rave reviews on Tripadvisor, my husband and I booked 3 nights at the U Zlate Studne. We could not have made a better choice; all the reviews were right. From the pick-up at the airport, the excellent and personal check-in process, the lovely room, great hotel location, helpful, professional, friendly staff, afternoon snacks, and the included breakfast, which was by far the best hotel breakfast I have ever had, the hotel was excellent. We also had dinner one evening at the restaurant, and it was the best meal we had in Prague – significantly better than the more expensive dinner we had at the more highly touted Le Degustation. The kitchen gets great marks all around and provides many wonderful touches included in the room cost – spectacular breakfast (truffled eggs, perfect crepes,…), great afternoon snacks, and fabulous pastry treats left in the room along with the evening turn-down service. A wonderful foodie….

Vážený pane Motyčko,
teprve včera jsme se s manželkou vrátili z cest, na jejichž počátku byla večeře ve Vámi řízené restauraci, na překrásně situované terase. Ten večer byl pro nás oba moc a moc příjemným zážitkem, manželka byla nadšená, vlídnost Vašich spolupracovníků a skvělá kuchyně……no prostě báječné!

We forgot to tell you thank you for invitation for diner in Terasa on 22 of spetember. We spent a splendid time. The service was without mistake and intelligent. The food was excellent. Maybe with the lobster a small mayonaise home-made would habe been great. We wrote a nice article on TripAdviser from Paris.

Dear Restaurant Team,
Just got back onto our computer and wanted to thank you guys very much for a wonderful dinner the other night. It was really amazing! Everyone there was great, the food and wine were wonderful as well. We will definitely put it on our to do list for our next trip here and pass along the information to any other friends coming over!
